Icon Las Olas was designed to visually appeal and fit in to the scope and architecture of the neighborhood. This project was delayed for years because of legal wrangling over the proximity of the site to historic Stranahan House, one of the oldest structures in the area and a vestige of the city's past.  The site once served as as a post office, bank, trading post, town hall and home to Frank Stranahan and Ivy Cromartie, two names synonymous to local history. 

Given the amount of legal delay that this project faced to get it approved, Icon Las Olas may very well be one of last luxury hi-rise condo to be built in Fort Lauderdale's downtown area for some time to come.
